This is more anecdotal, but the Masuyama design eyepiece that
Celestron called, "The Ultima" was being shopped around by the
Japanese maker about 10 years ago. It's possible some ended up
rebranded by other companies. I saw the prices for unlabelled
eyepieces and actually used a 24mm with no markings. Additionally,
Takahashi LE's probably represent the pinnacle of the design
implementation, at least as far as coatings went.
