Someone was dissing Canons, the most absolutely perfect camera on the planet if not the whole solar system! Wow!!!!
Where?
In saa. By someone partying early and senseless as a result, no doubt.
My Canon DSLRs are great!
They are great, probably the best DSLRs from the Rebel XT and up. But, they have had problems (error 99, for eg) and their ancient SLR wides have had performance issues with the FF Canons. Plus, their kit lens that comes with the Rebel XT (18-55mm) does not give the sensor it's due, it's a mediocre lens. Also, no spot metering until you spend $3000 on a body!!
I've had no errors and only good results with mine (EOS-20D and older 300D).
Lenses range from 17-85EF-s IS, 17-40L to 100-400L IS. Not using any lenses I would call "ancient".
