I've seen time exposure photographs of the Cone nebula and the Christmas Tree cluster. Is that we we're talking about ? What can one expect to see with an 8 inch scope ? Thanks, I;ve never found a Nebula with my scope yet.
Easiest and spectacular: Look for M42 (Great Nebula in Orion) below the belt of Orion. Great evening object just now.
