Astronomy - The Most Frustrating Hobby Possible?

Last night the weather was beautiful and the skies were as clear as they get in Los Angeles. But I was busy with other things last night and I figured tonight would be even better so I didn't set up nor did I even pull out the binoculars.
And wouldn't you know it? Nothing but high wispy clouds tonight here up against the foothills. I have gotten a some great views of the moon and I looked at Mars a bit, but I wanted to see a little more tonight.
