Actually, the kit isn't complete. (reference:
http://au.store.yahoo.com/readersdigest/612144.html) If your view is
upside down, then you're missing what they refer to in the reference
page as the angle prism. But that's okay, because you can find one of
much higher quality at any astronomy shop for not a lot of money. Try
asking for a diagonal or a diagonal eyepiece. The size you're looking
for is 1.25 inches.
A diagonal will do two things for you: it will let you see stuff here
on earth right-side up (although backwards), and it will let you see
things in the sky without having to put your neck at a funny angle.
Coincidentally, if you're luckier than I am and can get a clear sky at
night to save your life, Saturn is the closest it will be to earth for
a while, so I highly recommend checking it out. :)
