We had a chap who frequented this group a couple of years back who embarked
on grinding, polishing, and figuring a 12.5 inch mirror. Oh, he kept us
all posted with regular updates as to his rapid progress through grinding
and polishing. But we never heard about that mirror again once he got to
the figuring stage -- LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL!!!!!!!

He did appear somewhat later though talking about the used 18 inch scope he
purchased :o)
