Now tell me how is that wrong on his part ??
Rules are rules. All schools have a discipline policy and there are two
sides to every story. Perhaps there's more to the story coming from the
other side of the coin....
Wow.... Someone physically attacks another in a sneak attack,
which EVEN the school admitted what the attacker did, and yet
you want more proof. Sheesh....
You have almost the same ideals as said teachers.
You have more of a problem because my kid won the fight,
rather than with the one who started it.
(and who learned a painful lesion)
If you or anyone physically attacked me, I WILL defend myself,
whats wrong with that ?
Again, you are conveying your side. If both parties submitted their version
of what happened, only then could the light be properly shared.
Sorry, I cant get the other side here to talk to you.
BTW are you really that naive that both sides will submit the same
story ??? Seriously ??? Even the school in this case agreed with
my sons version. (too many witnesses.)
You appear to have a bias against teachers in general, unfortunately all too
common these days.
IF it's all to common these days, might the people saying
it possibly be RIGHT ?
Or will you blindly just defend your profession ?
You make it sound like teachers are beyond reproof......
(you refuse to see any merits from the peoples objections)
Teachers are there to teach the skills in life,
to be productive in society. NOT to have to like others.
Our schools systems are catering to the lowest
common denominator pure and simple.
And it's showing in our national scores.........
My friend actually got arrested for this exact thing.
(disciplined his kid, who called 911)
Yes, it happened to my neighbors also.
And this is OK to you ???
Really ????
Corporal punishment has been an accepted manner of discipline
for thousands of years. And it WORKS when used properly !
I guess it is ok to you, for a teacher to try and undermine
parental authority
No, but after abuses of the past where too many fathers took their daily
frustrations out on the children, it's no wonder those authorities above and
beyond the parental kind exercise greater control.
Ahhhhh your true colors come out at last...
You feel that the schools, and or govt are a higher
authority over parents in controlling their children.
How dead wrong you are.
No govt should have any say in how a child is brought
up by their parents as long as laws are not broken.
Are you really for kid's to be taught that they are
supposed to listen to teachers or govt over their
own parents ??
BTW you believe in socialism, or communism ??
You would find or fund a way, if the issues were that important to you, or
send you child to a public school well known for having little/no problems
(you would have to do some research and "shop around"). It still costs more
to go to a public school outside of your area, but still not as much as
private schools in general.
No, I got by. I live in a house with almost 10,000 books in it
and in regards to history in particular, was able to help
both kid's out a lot. Granted around 5,000 are on aviation, but
the rest are history, art, etc...
(I do have a complete set of Dickens from the late 1800's :)
You REALLY need proof of the liberal bias of the NEA ????
You must not get out much.....
Liberal bias by whose account? Yours, the neighbors? Depends on how you
look at it. I, for one, used to work without a union before I went into
teaching and vowed that I would never do it again due to serious management/
employee problems. You call it "bias", I call it "protection".
Now you are truly showing your liberal ideals here.
(that or a serious set of blinders)
The NEA has been outspoken with political issues, which is not
their job IMHO.
But how does one get *protection* from a liberal ideology ??
No, I wouldn't go that far, but some of the current policies in effect,
started by the current administration, are in serious error.
And who just scolded me for not providing facts here ????
Congratulations. My nephew just returned from that part of the world also.
He did well too.
Congratulations !!!!!!!!!! My heart goes out always for
all those kid's doing an incredibly hard job.
And thank your nephew, he is a good man !!!!!!!!!!!!
Older son makes several hundred grand a year now, just moved
to San Fransisco. He is only 24
Hmmm, must be an awfully young doctor, but then again some serious doubts
there.
No gifted programmer (5 yrs deans list R.I.T.) Has his own company.
(200k per year now)
BTW what do your kid's do ???
Follow the rules/ laws and trouble should remain at bay. That goes for any
law abiding citizen.
You've said nothing that removes my doubt cloud from your words.
Wil
Well, I have no doubts about you.
The liberal slant is oblivious for all to see.
I just hope you dont impart that slant to your
students.
Children need a factual account of history, and a solid
background in math, science, and strong grasp of the
English language. They need an exposure to the arts, of
ALL kinds, and not a teachers interpretation.
NOT that a kid cant dislike bobby because he has two dad's.
(we ALL have a right to dislike anyone we want !)
My real problem with our education system can be
directly shown by how a lot of people in our govt think.
The PC speech that has taken hold is an example of that.
We have already trampled the first amendment in the name
of ideology. (when 2nd amendment is gone, so are we.....)
When saying certain words can get you prosecuted, there is
something wrong with the system as it is no longer
protecting free speech.
Last time I remembered, "sticks and stones can break my
bones, but words can never hurt me"
What happened ?
