Re: The Dumbing Down of Astronomers

Check out your local astronomy club. I just came back from an evening
at the local university observatory where local club members explain
whatever to whoever shows up and asks questions. I was very impressed
with the amount of knowledge and and patience they showed in answering
questions and making sure everyone felt welcome. My 9 year old
daughter asked a LOT of questions and they explained everything fully.

They do this every Wednesday night. No admission fee, they don't get
paid for it, they just want to teach others.
