I am about ready to purchase a new scope. I would like to know what
everyboby thinks about what type I guy should buy. Lets say, money is
no object. (within reason). I have read about the different types but
am confused. What type would you buy?

Andy, if you're confused, then you appear to have
it backwards. You probably should be thinking, how
little can you get away with spending to get your
foot into the hobby without wasting your money.

You have not said anything about the kind of observing
you plan to do and where you hope to observe. Are you
a novice observer? Do plan to be mainly a visual
observer or do you plan to do astrophotography? Do you
plan to do lunar and planetary observing? Is your
site suitable? Do you need portability? You might by an
expensive heavy scope and find that your seeing is
chronically mediocre rendering your scope mostly useless.

Lot questions to a beginner, who don't even know yet where to look into a scope.

A little more about yourself and your observing environment(s)
will help repliers give you better answers.
