Here's what I believe:

--I believe the universe is teeming with intelligent life.

--I believe that the fact we are here is proof of the fact that we are not
alone.

--I believe that all the inhabitants of the universe wonder if there is
anyone out there.

--I believe that there might as well not be since the distances are so vast
that any communication (in constructive REAL time) could never be. . .at
best all we could hope for is to receive intelligently sourced
communication but with a time differential so great between
sent signals and signals received that the originating source vanished
long ago into the eons of the past.

--Looking for a universal truth? Try this one: We are not alone but
but we might as well be. It just doesn't seem that technology could ever
triumph over the amount of time and distance involved for any two-way
communication, much less physical travel back and forth.
