High surface brightness objects are what he needs
to try and go after under mag 4.5 skies.
From next Wash DC, I get get down to mag 9.5 on
planetary neb., and obliviously far less on extended
objects. But tight globular's, and high SB galaxies
should be by necessity be the targets.
I can see M 87 and several Virgo cluster members
as well. Setting circles, DSC's, or GOTO are
almost mandatory with the lack of starts to star
hop with. I go with polar align, and setting circles.
