The astrophotographers are a harmless bunch in themselves and in what
they do,something akin to birdwatching.

Unfortunately their views of the Earth's axial and orbital motions
reflect what they know of astronomy as Copernicus and Kepler knew the
discipline and it is neither intelligent or productive.

Now you just wander off into oblivion after complaining about Sam.Sam
acts as a kind of empirical propagandist who assures the
astrophotographers that theorists have cosmological structure and
motion covered and that as long as they pay homage to Newton and Albert
every so often they can continue with their celestial peep show and
justify their rank as astronomers even though it does not amount to
much more than eyepieces,cloud cover and things like that.

If their were not astrophotographers they would be sharing images of
something else such as birds or things that you can go to jail for but
they most certainly are not astronomers,amateur,observational or
otherwise.
