Hi I have only ever owned dobs and I want to get an GEM telescope but INot as expensive as a Tak but pretty good is a GP or GPDX vixen mount and it
ideally would like to get one with a mount that I can use for different
OTA's. If I do this with the LXD75/55 would I be limited to Meade
scopes and with the CG5 would I only use Celestrons, and what is the
EM10 like? Basically I want to buy a scope and mount but would like the
option to upgrade to a better scope in the future (the one I get now
will be relatively inexpensive) without having to buy a completely new
mount. Is that too much to ask? The above mounts come with the scopes
that I am looking at, which one would be best? Is there a great deal of
difference betweeen them?
Any info would be great, thanks.
has the option of goto etc. You can put any tube rings on it or use the
vixen dovetail.
