Greetings...
I'm trying to snag a 300D and would like your thoughts on the subject. I've seen images that are exactly what I'm looking for from this camera---
But...is there something newer, better or???? Should I still go for a 300D? I'd like your thoughts before I plunk $500 for a camera...
Also, which adapters did you get---just a T-ring and nose piece?
Regards and thanks...

I have no problem recommending the 300D. Personally, if I were going to spend more than the cost of a used 300D, I'd go all out and get a full blown astro-CCD camera.
You'll need a T-Ring which you can get almost anywhere (check ScopeStuff??). This is a bayonet style adapter that locks into the lens position on the camera, with threads to mate to a T-adapter. T-adapters come in SCT style, and nosepiece style. Some scopes include a T-adapter thread on the outside rim of the 1.25" eyepiece adapter.
It takes a while to get this all straightened out, but I'd encourage you to go for it. 300D's are an excellent value right now.
