Perhaps not to you. But consider those visitors to a pristine dark sky location enjoying the glow of the Milky Way surrounded by glowing red laptop screens, red headlamps flashing everywhere and a myriad of green lasers being shot skyward.

Not everyone thinks laptops are "kewl" or green lasers either. And any reputable star party will eventually have to deal with both because misuse is inevitable.
