Martin,

The 20 deg "tail" thing can be taken care of in Ciel in the Comets
configuration dialogue (v2.7). Under the option "Aspect" change the
radio button from the default "Size" to "As symbol".

This thing is really book'n. You may need to do daily updates. -:)
