I'm not a user of screen savers, given they are no longer necessary to
"save" your CRT with the advent of power management.
Oh, I agree with you there. Technically, it's not a "Screen Saver" as
much as it is a Screensaver by Windows standards. Screensavers really
don't need to save the screen anymore, at least on LCD screens. It's
more of an 'Ambient Background' thing, which I guess is getting popular
now that HD DVD is out.
It is very nicely done
Thanks. Anti-aliasing was really the hard part.
boring.I personally find the landing site of the Rover to be pretty
The idea is that there are more on the main site. 15 now, about 30
later; some of the moon, some of Mars. But I wanted to get this out as
freeware, so I didn't want to push the entire package and hope people
will just come to the site on their own.
the desktop wallpaper.how about an application that periodically changes
I'm working on that.
What kind of wallpaper would interest you?
I want to make some (just a little) cash on this first, although that
really does seem hard over the Internet, and than I want to apply some
of the same algorithms to high-resolution wallpaper that can be
downloaded and fit/processed to any size, from NASA sources and such.
The trick is to support all screen sizes, 1024x768 to widescreen sizes
and up -- since you can't have an individual wallpaper for each one,
it's a matter of processing it pre- and post-load so one size fits all
without sacrificing quality, which is what I tried to do in the
panorama.
