I guess Hubble images would be pretty cool, along with some Damian Peach stuff, and, forgive me for not remembering his name, stuff from the guy who does high resolution lunar images with his 18" Starmaster. Then there's Jon Christensen, Richard Crisp, Robert Gendler, my oh my, the list just keeps getting longer. These guys all put out large format high resolution images (well beyond 1024x768).
I actually like to make my own astro-images at 3072x2048 with the DSLR, but at the rate I'm going (in large part due to weather), it will take the rest of my life to get a month's worth. :-)
