Announcement - Colorado West Star Party

The Western Colorado Astronomy Club will host its annual star party from June 23-25, on the beautiful Uncompahgre Plateau, about 40 miles from the city of Grand Junction. The observing site is an alpine meadow at an elevation of 8200 feet (2500 m) and features some of the most transparent skies in North America, with a visual magnitude typically better than 7. It is accessible by most vehicles including large motor homes, and in addition to the excellent observing conditions, we will also sponsor a pot luck supper on Saturday and a door prize raffle (over $2K in goodies).
