Hi all,
I (finally!) had a chance to be under the stars again the other night
and
noticed that my trusty Orion UltraView 10x50 WA binoculars seemed out
of
collimation.
Any idea if I can adjust these myself?
They are still under warranty, but Orion wants to charge me $50 for
this.
I have been very happy with these, but I am surprised that this would
not
be covered under warranty.
Thanks,
Esmail
Were you able to resolve this problem. (i.e. either with Orion or were
you able to collimate them yourself?)
I have the same collimation problems with my Orion Ultraview 10x50
binoculars. It's really unfortunate that Orion will not honor the
warranty. Oddly, they told me that this WAS covered and to send the
binoculars in. Now they are refusing to cover the repair and want to
charge me. Let me repeat:
BEWARE OF ORION TELESCOPES AND BINOCULARS (www.telescope.com). THEIR
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS POOR. THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY.
