Nice report as always.
For lurkers, as Aql rises, IMHO the best part of the season for PN's
starts.
This is a personal observing list I put together a couple of years ago
of those p/n's reachable by 10" and under of aperture with my notes on
the lowest feasible aperture to detect the object.

By detect, I mean "small fuzzy Neptune like bubble". For the more
distant p/n's they are best enjoyed with larger aperture. I enjoy the
Helix neb most with large tri-pod mounted binos.
My site also includes a 3-D rendering of the PN's on the list:

Requires authorizing Cortona VRML Active-X control to run. Hit the
"Study" button to rotate in 3-D.

Anyone know where the Planetary Nebula Society website went to? It
used to be at:
http://www.blackskies.com/index1.html
It was the best website on pn's. It doesn't turn up in the search
engines anymore. Was active last year.
