CO is the snow capital now!! Stolen from Canada!

Most people don't realize that Colorado east of the Continental Divide
is very dry. We don't normally get all that much snow, and this time of
year is usually the driest. These recent storms have been quite unusual.
Even here in the high country we don't usually have much standing snow
on the ground, but at the moment there is about 18".

Fortunately, we still have Sun nearly every day, and most nights are
clear. Beats the heck out of the typical midwestern (and to some extent
eastern) winter patterns of endless gray days- and nights.

Calgary has no snow at present. The mountains are average to below average
in the El Nino year.
