Without evidence, they don't.
And the keyword is evidence!
The keyword for any astronomer is physical considerations supplied by
planetary motions and distance from the Sun.
The celestial sphere observer sees the Sun appear describe greater and
lesser arcs from horizon to horizon and draws the conclusion that
variable axial tilt is the cause for the observed phenomena and
subsequently the cause of hemispherical weather patterns.
The physical considerations based on taking a view of the Earth from
space is that a variable axial tilt is a pseudo-dynamic and the orbital
orientation, denoted by the orbital shadow/solar radiation division
changes against fixed axial orientation.
Laws of physics render fast space travel impossible and there
is no credible evidence supporting alien space craft (UFOs).
There is no credible evidence supporting terrestrial ballistics applied
to planetary motion via the Ra/Dec system or rather the use of axial
corrdinate to describe orbital geometry but it has not stopped the
empirical mathematical cult from passing these things off as 'laws'.
There is considerable evidence that Mars was once wet and warm,
that liquid water may still occasionally flow on the Martian
surface, and that conditions are such that life may have found
safe harbor on Mars... So it is worth looking.
People and animate life on Earth live by either the daily cycle or the
annual orbital cycle so until you actually present the correct
correlation between the motions of the Earth, global
climate, hemispherical weather patterns (seasons) and existence, then and
only then feel free to comment on life on other planets.
Astronomers should have a real appreciation for the manner in which the
astronomical cycles mesh with existence and just how fragile life is in
that astronomical/terrestrial enviroment.Your kind try to force
geometries into the Earth's motions that do not exist -

You borrow 3 minutes 56 seconds/.986 degree from the human devised
principle for the correlation between axial rotation and clocks and
force it into an orbital geometry in order to introduce celestial
sphere geometry into the structure of the solar system and the Earth's
motions.
What is the matter with people ? is the Equation of Time system, which
we inherited, not wonderful enough as a technical achievement in both
its pre-Copernican form and its heliocentric adaption that the hideous
17th century attempt to justify the return of a star to a location
using the axial and orbital motions of the Earth still prevails.
Observers have a chance to bypass the sub-geocentric 'laws of physics'
and really take back control of astronomy from the excesses of
mathematicians and their meaningless equations by actually making an
attempt to restore the axial and orbital geometries left by genuine
astronomers.
