That may be true, but if it is true it is no tribute to Photoshop
and may also be a commentary on the state of professional
astronomy.

Many very good amateur photographers find it counter intuitive,
sloppy, and difficult to use - very time consuming.

The one thing Photoshop has going for it is a LARGE classy
reputation as the finest photo processing software since .....
the Moon Landing and the Invention of Fire. Maybe it will be
advertised on TV next and available at Walmart? My needs are
very simple. That precludes needing the 9999 levels of Photoshop.

Only geniuses use Photoshop!
