is this usable, I live in a city with quite a lot of light pollution and
have 120mm refractor.
would this improve my system?

vs what or doing what else?

Baader-Baader clearly says in their ad, this filter is a replacement
for those "simple dark green Moon & Solar filters made of
polished raw glass". Shame on simple polished raw glass!

But Baader knows best. Plunk yer money down right now
and be saved. Hallelullya!

Well, I think the thing is that this is basically a minus violet
filter. As such, yes, it will probably help with excess color and be
nicer to use than a green or yellow filter for that purpose.

As for truly "useful," though, I don't know. Certainly a minus-violet
can make images in a achromat _look_ better. If the Moon or a bright
planet or star is just too much to take, yeah, I'd look at this or a
similar filter.

That said, it's not a cure for the effects of chromatic aberration;
it's a bandaid at best.
