Any suggestion for a CCD camera to be used on a Celestron C8 using the
Fastar or Hyperstar lens?
Most CCD cameras seem to be "physically" too big for this. Seems like
they would block most of the corrector with the CCD body. Starlight
Xpress cameras look small enough. The SBIG STV 237 is no longer
available.

HI:
A lot of Hyperstar/Fastar folks are using Starlight Xpress cams. While
I use SBIG these days (I don't do Fastar, either), I had one of the
early Starlight cameras, and the quality is definitely there. Have a
look at <http://www.astrovid.com>

I am thinking about getting one of those Meade DSI cams in the
meantime while I am trying to decide on what cam I really want. For a
$100 it might be a way to get my feet wet. Before I lay out some real
$$$.
