Since we're looking back a bit in time, I really miss Rich Whalen, and
his

anywhere on ANY of the groups I belong to about him... I used to have
his
e-mail address, but multiple ISP changes seem to have taken their toll on
THAT, so I can't just SEND him something...

Anyone know anything???

Hi Jan,

Hmmm, very strange! First time I google my name and your message pops
up! I'm
fine, have not been on any astronomy forums for several years, got
tired of all
the flaming etc.Gives me more time to observe :-)

Still in Florida, still observing using various scopes, still have the
8" F16
TEC Mak. I've also got a few more new hobbies for cloudy nights, one
being Ham
radio. Unfortunately my vision is not what it used to be, it's gone
from 10/15
to around 20/30 with my right (observing eye) the worse. Also I've
been doing a
lot of traveling, also building a cabin in NM at 7000' surrounded by
National
Forest. Pretty good observing spot.

Was at TSP in 2005, observed clouds every night :-( That was the last
"big"
star party I've been to. Other than that been raising dogs, working
etc. Is
this group any more civil than it used to be? I do miss a lot of you
guys; we
had some good conversations. Hope all is well with you and Rod, maybe
I'll
start checking in once in a while :-)

Hope this reaches you, they seem to be having problems with Sci
astro's servers.

Long time no yack, Richard. It's great to see you back on SAA!
