Re: BRUCE KAMIAT RESPONDS TO LIBELOUS ACCUSATIONS POSTED ON THIS LIST AND ELSEWHERE ON THE NET BY JOHN PAZMINO AND TOM CLABOUGH

Well, I posted a reply and it seems to have disappeared into the
ether. I'm now going to try again. My apologies to anyone who finds it
objectionable if it later shows up twice. That's how I got the
multiple posts before.

I never removed the file I posted on the Yahoo group nor any of the
photos it contained. I can only assume that John did, but I do not
know. In my original message to this group, I included a link to a Web
site on which I had posted several of the photos in that file so that
anyone might see them.

I have nothing to hide regarding either my political life or my
reenactment activities. I do not feel that I have done anything the
least bit wrong in either of these interrelated areas of my life. I am
proud of my accomplishments, however small they may have been. I am
proud to have participated in the political events of my time and to
have had a role in the making of history. I have found it fascinating
and enlightening to have explored and studied the great movements and
events that have shaped the history of my time. I have attended
conferences (yes, including Socialist Scholars' Conferences), taken
postgraduate courses, visited nations where history was being made
(yes, Nicaragua was certainly such), and have learned much as a
result. I have gained a deeper understanding thereby of the time in
which I have lived and of the times that preceded my entry into the
world. As a student of history, a speaker at symposia and other public
events, and (briefly) a teacher, I have tried to share what I have
learned with the public to the small extent that I have been able.

As a World War Two reenactor, I have paid tribute to, and expressed my
admiration for, the men who fought on what I believe to have been the
right side in that great struggle. I have commemorated their
sacrifices and the difficulties they overcame and helped to bring a
greater awareness and a deeper understanding of these to the public. I
see nothing at all wrong with this and I am proud to have done so.
