Meteor Collection to go Club ...

A university is going to "lend" its valuable meteor collection
to a club. The club bought a safe. Why? Somebody wants
to see a meteor. Some club wants the presteige of saying
"we have a valuable meteor collection". Why? Research.
What research by who? A university is going to lend its valuable meteor
collection to a club.
Wouldnt it be nice if that club had a working telescope for its
members and the public. The club has never owned a working
telescope!
It just proves you dont need a working telescope to have a large
astronomy club. But you do need a valuable meteorite collection
and a safe, and 14 security cams.
I thought astronomy clubs were about astronomy!? Guess I
am wrong again.
