I draw the line at blocking caller ID for phone calls -- that's just
plain rude
and I never answer such calls.


I don't know, caller ID once got me into some trouble. I was working late at
a customer's office in a suburb of Chicago, and I dialed the wrong number
but listened to an entertaining answering machine message - something about
Richard Nixon if I recall correctly. After I humg up, a wacko woman called
back, wanting to know why I was dialing her phone. I explained that I had
dialed a wrong number, etc. but she was raving. Within the hour she was at
the door. I called the company owner, and he called the cops. What a mess,
and all because of caller ID!
