Insane..an EP that costs as much as a good telescope!! This Al Nagler sure feeds the fireI generally buy cheap cars and run them into the ground. Ny neighbors buy corvettes and other expensive cars. It's a matter of preference and ability to splurge.

If you have the cash and want the best AND have a sky worth seeing, go for it. For me, the Nagler eypieces are fantastic and I appreciate them the two or three hours a month I use them with a sky 25 miles NNE of Times Square (in NYC).
I told Nagler a dozen years ago that it would not make sense for me to buy one of his scopes due to inferior seeing, but two years ago I purchased two of his Naglers I was sold, and immmediately bought a TV85 and two more Naglers.
Insane, yes, but isn't it nice to be insane occasionally?
P.S. I knew Al Nagler as a teenager and observed with him several times some 50 years ago but have only seen him a few times since at star shows and a visit to his factory. He still has the same enthusiasm for the sky as we did in our teens when he built an 8"refl and I a 6".
