How about that Mars

Anyone started doing much Mars observing yet?

What are your thoughts about how difficult it will be to observe this
year?

From where I live, the so-called favorable oppositions (large apparent
size), have Mars mired in the muck towards the horizon.

I'm thinking it might be better from here to observe a somewhat
smaller Mars higher in the sky with better seeing.

I hope to be able to take advantage of the full 8" aperture of my
refractor this time around.
