Just got an early look at Holmes from here in the northeastern US and it
has now two "stars" at the core.
Very cool.

TheSky shows two bright stars, one 8th magnitude, within one arc minute of
the calculated position of Holmes. I believe that you are seeing background
stars. A friend in Germany got these "objects" in his CCD images of a few
hours ago, but says that they are not 'tracking' with the comet.
