Oh, and it's 17F. No idea what the wind chill is, but the wind felt
pretty light.
John, Jan, et al:
Clouds cleared out here on the NY/PA border area (about 6 miles north of
Binghamton, NY)! It's 22:40 EST and I'm in warming up. According to the NOAA
station that is 2 miles away the temp is down to 14F (-10C) with a
wind-chill of 3F (-16C). The total eclipse is a wonderful sight - nice red
color - much brighter on one side of the moon. I got some video with my
digital camcorder and the view in the 20x80's is great. Based on Orion I'd
estimate my sky is now mag 5.5 with the moon "gone". Nice and warm now, so
back out to my yard and the red moon and the coyotes singing.
