Actually Jerry ***I started this thread*** so it is fair to say that I
know what the focus of it was intended to be!
I wrote "There are large numbers of astronomy related groups around.
Although many seem to be silent, or very close to it, there are still
plentry with 10+ postings per week. What does Moderated
sci.astro.amateur offer that is not already available elesewhere?
Note I am not defending or attacking SAA or Martin's moderated group
but I did pose a question that I don't think has been answered.

The issue is not Martin's group but SAA. Focusing on Martin's
group when it is SAA that is dysfunctional is Bushleague?
