Geostatonary satellites wouldn't be seen to be moving - though you may
have
seen the moon moving behind it (which would have taken something like an
hour for the satellite to cross the full diameter of the moon) .
Revolving around the Earth 360 degrees in 24 hours it would take a
satellite only four minutes to move a distance equal to the diameter
of the Moon against the background of the stars.
