The problem may actually be no more than the word 'tilt' as it is both

central Sun rather than a given location keeping the same side to the

I _think_ I agree with you here. But maybe not, depending on what you
are saying exactly.
I am indeed not referring to "tilt" as a dynamic motion of the Earth.
The rotational axis of the Earth remains pointed unwaveringly to the
North Star, Polaris.
The plane of the Ecliptic, however, is inclined about 23 and one-half
degrees to the plane of the Earth's Equator.
The Earth has an axial rotation where a location turns through 360
degrees with respect to the stars in the sky in 23 hours, 56 minutes,
and 4 seconds.
And, in addition to that, exactly as you have said, "our planet orbits
the Sun where a location slowly turns through 360 degrees with respect
to the central Sun rather than a given location keeping the same side
to the Sun like a car travelling around a traffic circle keeps the
same side to the center".
The combination of these two motions leads to the natural noon cycle,
which has an _average_ length of 24 hours.
What perhaps you are missing is that "slowly turning through 360
degrees with respect to the central Sun" is not a motion around the
Earth's axis; it is solely the result of the changed relationship
between the Earth and the Sun brought about by the Earth's orbital
motion. So the Earth's axis, being "tilted" in the sense of not being
strictly perpendicular to the Ecliptic, even though it does not "tilt"
in the sense of changing the direction it is pointing, can, and does,
slowly turn "through 360 degrees with respect to the central Sun" so
as to, from a Northern perspective, lean away from the Sun at the
Winter Solstice, lean sideways at the two Equinoxes, and lean towards
the Sun at the Summer Solstice, all the while pointing in exactly the
same direction.
The orientation of the Earth's axis does not change; it points always
to Polaris; the direction from the Sun to the Earth changes because
the Earth orbits around the Sun.
