The second I saw your post I *knew* what you were up to <lol> And it is a worthy target. But I doubt that the magnitude of "B" is the largest issue. As Chris suggested the "spread" of "A" is likely to be enough to engulf "B" with your optics. An occulting bar in a filter slot will not work as has been mentioned. What about a Mask applied to the chip itself ?

Which brings up the subject of the optical window. Wouldn't the presence of this itself contribute to the failure of the project ?
