You've brought back memories. Halliday and Resnick was my first-year
Physics textbook.

Same here; was my textbook for high school, then a newer version (4th
edn) with Krane for college.

How can you argue with a textbook that has a picture of a B-52
dropping iron bombs as an example of projectile motion? Or, to show
the usefulness of the center of mass frame, how the center of mass of
a MIRV-ed ICBM follows the same trajectory before and after the
individual warheads are launched from the bus?
