day calendar system, like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole
and arrive at an unprecedented and highly destructive conclusion that
a star returning in 23 hours 56 minutes represents daily rotation
through 360 degrees. No sense in begging them the question as to where
variations in orbital motion go as the Earth orbits the Sun  because
their answer is a foul as that for daily rotation.

There is nothing remotely close to this precedence in the  history of
human reasoning in terrestrial/celestial affairs, the utter destruction
of known structural and timekeeping principles and specifically the
original one by the guy who,in any case, was only searching for a way
to determine terrestrial longitudes by the celestial sphere method and
came to an idiotic conclusion  -

"On 4 March 1675 he appointed Flamsteed his astronomical observer by
Royal Warrant. From his salary of £100 he had to pay £10 taxes and
also provide all his own instruments so that he might:-

... apply himself with the most exact care and diligence to rectifying
the tables of the motions of the heavens, and the places of the fixed
stars, so as to find the so-much-desired longitude of places for
perfecting the art of navigation. "

It is not a question of global warming,it is the frightening
possibility of people being influenced as to how to live by others who
cannot,I repeat, cannot even explain what causes the seasons using two
motions of the Earth when they have actual observations in front of
them. The outrageous behavior of people is amazing in all the wrong
ways and especially in the 21st century when there is no need to bow
down to numbskulls in the late 17th century who got it wrong.

This is truly, truly unconscionable,I have to reach for the word
holocaust for the uncaring way the topic of daily rotation is handled
because it diminishes both human reasoning and the merit system which
reflects achievement notwithstanding the loss of information needed to
understand global climate. These guys here can lower their heads to the
ground come 'Earth hour' given their opposition and their silence to
the known principles which keep clocks fixed to the daily cycle and
the uneven noon cycle.

So, oriel36's wife is listening to the radio one afternoon, and on the
news she hears that there in someone driving the wrong way on HWY 50.
She becomes alarmed because she knows that oriel36 is driving home on
that same road.

So, she calls oriel36 on his cell phone and says, "Be careful out
there, someone is driving the wrong way"

Oriel36 answers, "There's not just someone driving the wrong way,
there are 100's of them..."

Actually, concerning your thought-processes, there is nothing remotely
close to them in the history of human reasoning in terrestrial/
celestial affairs...
