I do have a complaint! Your link doesn't work. Do not ignore the
informality and humour found in all human activities, Martin. To wish
otherwise is to pine for the Moon. I suspect many are here for social
reasons. Or even to avoid the loneliness of isolation within the
milling crowds. Few are here to adhere to some unspoken discipline or
they would all be posting on-topic if only out of frustration at the
noise level. Loneliness is a modern scourge with the breakup of the
traditional extended family. No doubt others relish the chance to
practice the delicate art of textual expression from the comfort of
partial-anonymity. Or simply to enjoy the insider jokes or lunatic
ravings of the "regulars". An alternative, collective, derogatory term
for those who merely assemble around a flag of convenience. Somewhere
under the slowly, fading stars.
