I am curious about. . .

1.  Do/did you find yourself at the telescope's eyepiece more often
than you did before acquiring the observatory after its newness wore
off?

I've had a Skyshed pod XL-3 for about 2 years now and definetly find
myself observing more than I did before I got it. It is so much easier
to go out and open the dome than spend 45 mins. hauling the stuff out
of the garge to back yard and setting it up, then tearing it down and
putting it away at the end of the night.

2.  Do/did you enjoy the overall experience of the sheltered approach
to stargazing more than you did without it?

The POD has a 180 degree opening (yes there is a bit of zenith
problem, but that is easily rectified in various ways.) so I get
quite a bit of sky visible naked eye. Only thing better is a roll-off
roof, and with the PZT that is possible and solved the zenith problem
as well.

3.  If you attended star parties before your observatory, do you
continue to do so?

Definitely. I live in light polluted Orange County CA. If I want dark
skies I have to drive to see them. and I do as frequently as time,
weather, money and of course Spouse allow..
