The language of astronomy is geometry

Geometry is a subset of mathematics, and described using mathematical
formulae.

You are hardly aware of the danger of projecting the Earth's geometry
into space by way of the Ra/Dec convenience but that is what happens
when the references for the daily and orbital cycle are switched.

By the way, should you ever create an animation for the seasonal
disappearance of certain constellations due to the Earth's orbital
motion, remember only to keep daily and orbital motions separate for
the human mind can only process one motion at a time, the problem with
the 'tilt' explanation for the seasons being that it tries to do too
much with too little.

Your mind may have problems visualising correct motion. But there
is no problem handling lots of motions. Humans even have the
hardware to handle indirect motion; so we can hit moving targets
with our arrows and bullets. This is a built-in thing into our
brains.

In the math this is just a set of rather boring, but somewhat complex,
coordinate transforms.

But I seem to detect that the problem for You is not the transform,
but that the coordinate system takes on a life of it's own which is
not warrented by observation. The whole long/lat reference system
is really quite quaint; based as it is on base 60, and an arbitrary
reference to the position of the observatory where Newton happened
to do some work.

There is no need to evoke magic or "special case" for this coordinate
system. It is just a historical accident that was sufficiently free
of internal inconsistencies to be of long term use.

That we project this, with some additional transforms, into space is
just a convenience. Nothing more sinister is going on. There was actually
an attempt to reform it in the early 20th century, and many maps
can be found with the 400 grad system; one set is even centered on
some point in Moscow.

People must stand on their own two feet and not assume that others
will do the work,my 'repetition' is simply a consequence that with no
authority, things are left to drift and genuine effort is needed to
persuade people that they can do better. So,that is it.

Amazing statement, from one who is watching the universe without
accepting the need for accurate and faithful observation.

I must admit that the whole discussion here is somewhat intriguing,
suddenly there is a true-blooded alchymist and astrologer in our
midst. I thought they were gone several centuries ago.

Since you cannot accept math, varying reference frames and several
other established theories; perhaps you can tell us of your own
sources for your rejection ? Please, don't reply with your standard
critisism, but with an accurate description of YOUR cosmology.

You steadfastly hold that the world turns 360 degrees in 24 hours.
I would like to hear the sources of that. We have heard your rejection
of the alternatives, but not the source.

You also rejected my explanation of the alternate, 400 "degree", or
grad, coordinate system, as if that was a personal attack. Is the
360 degree long/lat grid an important part of your cosmology ?
