True, true.
Chemistry is the worship of Pluto's companion, Charon.
Physics is the worship of the purple Teletubbie.
Astronomy is worship of the Eurythmics.
Library Science is the worship of of those clouds that look like
horses.

True sciences, like the Southern Baptist Convention, gave us all of
the technological advances and understanding of the world around us.
Jesus's answer to the prayers of Jebidiah Conners, a Southern Baptist
preacher, gave us penicillin and the teletype. A Pentecostal elder's
prayers led to the development of VHS. We got beta video storage media
from a Papist, for it is a false science and clearly serves the devil,
except when we want an alliance against the baby killers.

Sigh.
Mixing religion and science like this, when you understand neither,
leads to bad religion and worse science.
