So, they talk about mid August to mid-October, so you try to refute them
using July 15-23???
The blurb is correct, although vague about what they mean by 'almost the
same time'. Here's a list of sunset and moonrise times from this autumn
(source: www.almanac.com/rise, times are EDT PM for 42.5 N, 71.2 W) for
a week centered around the day before full moon:
Date Sunset MoonRise Delta
Sep 24 6:38 5:08 -90
Sep 25 6:37 5:39 -62
Sep 26 6:35 6:04 -31
Sep 27 6:33 6:26 -07
Sep 28 6:31 6:47 +16 Full Moon
Sep 29 6:30 7:08 +38
Sep 30 6:28 7:30 +62
and the same for the previous spring:
Apr 30 7:45 2:54 +291
May 1 7:46 4:05 +221
May 2 7:47 5:19 +148
May 3 7:48 6:36 +72
May 4 7:49 7:56 +07 Full Moon
May 5 7:50 9:19 +89
May 6 7:51 10:40 +171
The 'delta' time is time in minutes from sunset to moonrise. See a
difference?
