Myths and legends about the Red Planet have been around us for as long
as people have looked at the stars. Recently these myths have taken a
decidedly alien turn, with claims about a Face on Mars, cities, and
even a mass transit system! Astronomer Dr. Phil Plait (author of Bad
Astronomy and creator of the popular website Badastronomy.com) will
discuss these myths and, using his trademark blend of science and
humor, show just why they are wrong.
