Funny,funny ,funny.

You talk of subtleties when I already told you how naughty Newton was
in mangling the Keplerian insight on planetary motion with the Romerian
insight on finite light distance.

You mean finite speed?

"For to the earth they appear sometimes direct, sometimes stationary, nay, and sometimes retrograde. But from the sun they are always seen direct, and to proceed with a motion nearly uniform, that is to say, a little swifter in the perihelion and a little slower in the aphelion distances, so as to maintain an equality in the description of the areas."

Retrograde motion. So what? You're currently making a fool of yourself on sci.astro.moderated and sci.physics.moderated, and your foul language got you laughed at on uk.sci.astronomy. Are you laughed at in those Christian groups you post to? And in "real life", perhaps?

You poor buggers don't stand a chance of correctly plotting the trajectories of spacecraft against the Earth's cyclical orbital motion with stupid statements like that.

I hate to tell you this but spacecraft trajectories _are_ successfully plotted using Kepler's laws and Roemer's discovery, despite what losers like you and Ralph Sansbury may believe.

Maybe Western civilisatrion has to stew in its own garbage for centuries for the whole thing to become right again but it certainly spares me the effort of setting you on the right course.

Civilisatrion :-) Again like Ralph, a spell checker might at least give the illusion you're literate. And why don't you spare yourself the effort, and spare us too?
