Can other galaxies be seen with the naked eye?

Hi;
For a discussion I am having with a creationist (the old
how did light get here in under 10,000 years), it would be
useful for me to know if other galaxies are at all visible with
the unaided eye? (So that: If not, why did God put them there?)
Thanks;
