It would have been with positrons (or possibly anti-protons), not
neutral anti-atoms. As I indicated, my memory of all this is very
dim, and all I ever saw was a semi-popular account, not a proper
paper. I'm hoping someone else can find the reference, but it's
quite possible that either the article I may have read or my memory
of having read it is wrong.

I did find a brief paper by Goldman et al. (1987 Phys. Rev. D 36,
1254), who seem to imply the experiment had not been done. Tracking
down the references in that paper (specifically the first eight)
might give more information.
