Hi
I just want a website that will let me identify the stars that I can
see in the sky tonight from the UK. Can someone recommend a website
that is easy to use.

Hi John,
Heavens Above is good, you can log on as a user so it'll remember your
location and provide the star chats you are looking for.
http://www.heavens-above.com
Go to the Whole Chart Sky link under "Astronomy"
It'll also show you the positions of the planets and moon of course, but
other links will suggest where and when to look out for satellites .
I would also suggest you get yourself a nice 12 inch planisphere; these are
handy to use outside to see what's up where when you start an evening's
obervation, and you can also sit and fiddle with it whilst watching the
telly when its cloudy.
.
